Maths Workshop

PRIMARY 4 CALCULATOR WORKSHOP

The calculator workshop is conducted for the primary 4 pupils at the end of semester 2 as a post-exam-activity.  In line with the revised 2007 Primary School Mathematics syllabus, the Ministry of Education (MOE) introduced the use of calculators at Primary 5 in 2008 and Primary 6 in 2009. The introduction of calculators at Primary 5 and Primary 6 aims to enhance the teaching and learning of Mathematics at the primary level.  Calculators facilitate the use of more exploratory approaches in the learning of mathematical concepts.

PRIMARY 6 “GOODBYE CARELESSNESS” WORKSHOP

The Primary 6 pupils went through the “Goodbye Carelessness” workshop during the June holidays in 2012. The objective of the workshop is to help pupils develop good habits in them when doing their Math examinations. Pupils learnt to use the different tips when solving word problems and perform the five checks after they have solved the word problems. In this way, pupils will say goodbye to carelessness and attain better results.
